I’d love to write about how I planned and plotted to eventually start a blog, but it didn’t work that way. And to be honest I haven’t always had a desire to start a blog, but being a thinker (with my INFJ personality type) I always have ideas flowing through my brain and I believe this would be the platform for me to share those ideas, thoughts, experiences, as well as my journey through the tech industry - my passion!
My passion for tech has always been in me for as long as I can remember. I remember my first experiences using a computer. A Windows PC. With the large monitor screens, large CPU’s, long keyboards, and wired mouses (oh how times have changed).
One of my favourite memories is that I would get so excited to play Super Mario on the computer. This game was so fascinating to me at the time, as I was so intrigued by the visuals and how the keyboard could make the man on the screen move around, and jump, collecting the gold rings in the sky.
This passion has remained in me through my secondary education, A-Levels, and university. I would look forward to my IT lessons because it was a time to be creative (eliminating the use of the traditional pen and paper). I enjoyed sorting out tables, organizing databases, typing up reports and using WordArt on PowerPoint to create presentations.
This passion has always stuck and eventually journeyed with me through to my professional career. Even at home, I am the one my sister would call as she tries to go back on something she just deleted (Ctrl+Z) hehe.
What I love the most about technology, is being able to see the way it has developed and changed through the years. As a millennial, my mind has developed and grown alongside tech. From playing a pixelated version of Super Mario on a Windows 1995 PC, to having HD quality visuals on our iPhones and MacBooks.
I am so excited about the new possibilities technology would bring, and even more excited to watch it happen. My long term goal is to remain in this industry and watch the amazing things that are to come in our world of developing technology. Here’s to the future in tech!
